Young Christian Minister Forced into Military

[0] prayers in [0] nations have been posted for Kyaw Tun Aung.

On Nov. 30, 2025, Kyaw Tun Aung, 22, was forcibly enlisted into military service under Myanmar's conscription law despite a provision exempting religious workers. The young man was raised in a Buddhist family but came to faith in Jesus Christ in April 2022. Following his conversion, he completed a degree in biblical studies and began serving the Lord fulltime. The authorities, however, refused to recognize his conversion to Christianity and continue to classify him as a Buddhist. Both of Kyaw Tun Aung’s parents, who are new believers, were devastated by the news of his conscription. Despite the difficult circumstances, Kyaw Tun Aung continually encourages his parents to trust in God and grow in their relationship with Christ. Pray for Kyaw Tun Aung's protection, spiritual growth and future ministry. Pray also that God will continue to use his life as a witness to those around him during his remaining time in military service.
