Evangelist and Family Exiled After Attack

[1] prayer in [1] nation have been posted for Rangja.

An evangelist in northeast India remains in exile from his village after a violent attack and false accusations. Rangja began evangelistic work in his native village in 2020. By 2024, seven families had come to Christ. On Jan. 18, 2026, village leaders called a meeting with these families, threatening consequences if they would not return to the local religion, but the families stood firm. That same evening, a mob attacked Rangja’s home. He was struck on the face, dragged to a field and beaten. The villagers filed a complaint, accusing Rangja of tricking people into converting. However, the Christians declared that they had chosen to follow Jesus themselves. Rangja and his family were threatened and forced to leave their village. His prayer request is that his persecutors would come to know Jesus and that his case would be settled so that he and the other Christians can continue practicing their faith.

  • Beloved Abba: Praise be to You for the steadfast faith of these Christians! Protect them & provide for all their needs. Heal Rangja of his wounds. Soften the hearts of the persecutors that they would repent & turn to Jesus. Forgive them for their brutality. Please resolve the false charges that Rangia & his family may return home. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
