Christians Appeal Unjust Sentences

[1] prayer in [1] nation have been posted for Christians in Libya.

A Libyan court will soon consider appeals for 10 Christians sentenced to prison for three to five years. The group has been imprisoned since April 2025 after being found guilty of “insulting Islam,” “insulting religious sanctities and rituals using the internet” and other charges for living out their Christian faith. “Please stand with us in prayer for God’s mercy, strength for the brothers and a just outcome,” said a front-line worker. The Christians were initially arrested in 2023 after a member of Libya’s secret police posed as a sympathizer to their activities. After a trial, the Libyan Islamic court system includes one appeal and possibly a final appeal to the Supreme Court. “Please pray regarding a critical situation here in Libya,” said the front-line worker. “Your intercession means more than we can say.”
