Praise Report on Eritrean Christian

[3] prayers in [1] nation have been posted for Ishaq.

An Eritrean Christian evangelist living in the Middle East has successfully received his residency permit. In January 2025, VOM posted a request to iCommitToPray.com for Ishaq. His residency permit had expired, and he faced potential deportation to Eritrea, where Christians are regularly tortured and imprisoned, some for more than two decades without charge or trial. Readers of the post wrote 150 prayers for Ishaq, and he shared that he is grateful. In the fall of 2025, he was arrested during a traffic stop and taken to jail. On the way, he sent a text asking Christians to immediately start praying for him. “And he happened, by the providence of God, to know the manager of that police station,” said a front-line worker, who added that if he had been taken to any other police station, no one could have helped him. Ishaq was released from jail and received his residency permit shortly afterwards.

  • Father, indeed you are faithful & true! We praise you for your protection of Ishaq & providing for his future residency outside Eritrea. May he be encouraged by this to seek first your kingdom, being faithful to his evangelism call, for you promise to fill all his needs. Please grant him the blessing of seeing others come to Christ through his witness.

  • Beloved & Holy Father: Praise be to You for bringing brother Ishaq to the one police station where his friend was situated! Truly You answer the prayers of Your children. Thank You that Ishaq was not deported to Eritrea. Please soften the hearts of Eritrean leaders that they would repent & turn to Jesus. We pray in the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ.
