Authorities Halt Church Building Effort

[51] prayers in [6] nations have been posted for Pastor Wang and congregation.

On April 25, 2025, Christians from a minority tribal group in Laos were prevented from constructing a new church building. The 85 members of the church had started building the church’s foundation when the police arrived, told them to stop and drove away the assembled workers with threats of arrest and imprisonment. The pastor and one elder were arrested and deprived of food and water for the day. This encounter with the police left the congregation terrified. Pray for wisdom and provision for these Christians and that they will know how to proceed.

  • The church, O God, is being built together as a holy temple of God, both Jews and Gentiles. Jesus is himself the cornerstone, and remembering that once we were not part of Christ, of the citizenship of Israel, nor covenants of the promise, the church is being built without walls between. Help Laos realize that Christianity is not just for Westerners.
