Precious Jesus, Bless all who call You Lord in Afghanistan today while we celebrate Your gift of life and hope to us. Thank you for coming to us when we were enslaved and rescuing us from sin and death. On the Christmas Day give hope to all Your people in Afghanistan. Give hope to those who don't yet know You in Afghanistan.

May others there including the Taliban come to a place where they repent of their sins and ready to receive the AV1611 gospel. I pray You give the increase in new believers. Father, it would be easy for me NOT to pray for the Taliban as an oppressive regime bent on persecuting believers but You have commanded us to pray for our enemies and so I lift up the Taliban and ask You to deeply convict the hearts of Taliban officials and cause them to see their need for real forgiveness and hope in Your Son alone, in Jesus' name.

Father, you have told us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, and today we bring the Taliban before you, begging you to have mercy on them and open their eyes to the truth of the gospel. Please reveal yourself in unmistakable ways, and may they come to repentance and faith in Jesus for salvation. Bring peace and hope to this nation.

O Father hear the cry of Your isolated and persecuted children in Afghanistan. May they find solace in Your presence and be able to have conversations without fear of discovery by those hating your ways. May the Taliban rule in peace, doing what is best for the people by Your power regardless of their feeble power so they can hear and see Your Son amen

I pray that You would provide them with everything they need and that they would courageously live for You. May ears and hearts be open. Father, since U.S. armed forces withdrew from Afghanistan, the situation has been dire for its citizens, especially the saints who remain. Continue to shield and shelter our Afghani brothers and sisters in Christ. Protect them from family, friends, and others, including the Taliban who persecute them. May the Word of God go forth in the entire nation.
