Lord this must break your heart. May everyone in your family recognise that they are family and love each other as you modelled love. May those in a church who are not born again into your Kingdom see their need of Jesus as their saviour and come to saving repentance before you. I pray for unity in the church and true believers to be faithful witnesses

Dear Jesus, provide and protect Shango and all the Christians wherever they are now. Encourage them and help them not to grow weary in well doing.

May these faithful servants lift Jesus Name up to the village. Yes, exalt Jesus in all corners of this village. May they be unable to resist HIS love & mercy. May they hunger & thirst after God's Word. Strengthen Shango & these believers to great works according to your desires, O Lord. Provide for these saints. Thank you for intervening for them.

Father God, I ask that you tear down the religious and oppressive walls of the deceived and bring them to TRUE faith in Jesus Christ for unity in Him. Please show them their sin and false religion. Lead them to the gospel of John, chapters 8 & 9, and Matthew 23. Help the true believers and sustain them by Your powerful word in Ethiopia.

Lord Jesus, please enable Shango and his friends to live a life that testifies boldly of Your grace and truth. May they know how to respond to these attacks, and may they demonstrate love and forgiveness even to their enemies. Please unite the believers together and help their neighbors to see the truth of who You are through them.

Dear Lord, please strengthen the faith of these believers. Help them to know that they serve as examples to those of us who have never experienced this type of threat to our lives and faith. Keep them safe and give them wisdom to handle each situation. Soften the hearts of those that seek to harm them, so that they, too may believe.

Abba Father, I entrust the lives of Shango and his friends to you. May your name be a strong tower to them where they can run to and be safe. May they have clarity of purpose and faithful devotion to you thru the enpowering of your Holy Spirit. With my prayer for them goes my gratitude and thanksgiving to you that I can exercise my faith freely .

Heavenly Father, I pray that you will give to these beautiful brethren the strength to continue, to stay in the faith and not be afraid, that you will give them also your peace and joy in serving Him who gave His life for them. Lord for years the Evanglical Christians in Ethiopia have been persecuted. They have given up their lives, as they had known them, and all material posssions for the Gospl. Please lead them and guide them into what they Ned to do next. Help them to be blessed while blessing others. Clarify Your purpose for their lives so that they may honor You!

Father, we pray for Shango and the families being persecuted. We ask that you sustain them through the trials they are experiencing and that their trust in you will bring joy to their hearts as they remain faithful in suffering. We pray that the community will witness this inexplicable joy and through that witness will come to faith in Jesus your Son.

God, I pray first for the Orthodox priests and their followers. I ask they would repent of their attacks on Your children, and that they would become true believers in Jesus Christ. I pray for Shango and the others, asking You would continue to strengthen and encourage them, and that You would continue to supply all their needs.

Thank You Lord that these believers stood up for their faith and refused to compromise and sin against You. I pray that their neighbors may be impressed by their testimony, accept the true gospel, and come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Protect Your people and enable them to do the work of spreading the good news.

Father, I pray for your children in Ethiopia. Guide them in the decisions they face concerning their faith. Give them wisdom and boldness. Help them to forgive and not hold bitterness. I pray for those who persecute these believers, open their eyes. Lord, move on the behalf of your children here. Help them to keep their focus on the eternal.

Lord, please turn the tables on behalf of Your children. May Your truth & true faith of these believers shine like the sun in comparison to the false, misguided "faith" exhibited by these priests and their followers. May the Christians' true faith spark a revival in their community & may opposition melt away by their enemies being at peace with them.

Lord Your Word declares that we over come by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Permit these believers to bear witness to their neighbors by the actions they perform while their testimony well actively be revealed to observing persecutors. In Jesus amen.

Lord send your Holy Spirit to Shango and the other evangelicals to give them hope, peace, strength, courage, wisdom and love. Send people to help them with their physical needs as well as their mental and spiritual needs. Let them know they are not alone. Keep them strong in their faith through it all and use them to bring many to salvation

Father, you see the persecution that these Christians in Ethiopia are dealing with and I know that there are many of your people throughout the country also facing severe struggles. Please move mightily on their behalf and give them much strength, hope and encouragement. And give them peace that will be a testimony to those who persecute them.

Lord, this is so very hard. Help these priests to stop persecuting the believers. O God, please open their hearts to hearing the Gospel proclaimed in grace and freedom. Please give the believers wisdom as to how to deal with this all. May this church be found on its knees and in Your Word, O God. Please help them find a place to live. Provide

Draw many in Ethiopia to faith in Jesus and glorify the name of Jesus. Draw many into your kingdom.
