Christian Workers Remain Imprisoned Under Wa State Army

[254] prayers in [14] nations have been posted for Imprisoned Christians.

In October 2018, the United Wa State Army, an ethnic army operating in far eastern Myanmar, began closing churches and arresting Christians, including about 100 front-line workers affiliated with VOM. Although most have since been released, a VOM partner recently reported that seven of the front-line workers are still in prison. The Central Authority has ordered their release, but lower officials refuse to release them unless they agree to stop sharing the gospel. The seven believers refuse to do this. “There is a great need of earnest prayer for them,” the VOM partner said.

  • Lord Jesus, you have a purpose in everything. You turn a difficult circumstance into a blessing. If is your will, allow the refusal of realising of the seven remaining front-line workers to serve your purpose. May their voice be heard far, loud and long enough that it shall reach the hearts of the lower officials and they may turn to you. Amen.

  • Forgive these men and the terrible things they are doing to your Church and to you as a result. Grant them eyes to see and ears to hear, the hurt they are causing you and others. Draw them into your presence and convict them of their sin. For, if they do not repent, they will spend eternity in torment for their deeds. If they repent, they are saved.
