Family Doing Well After Being Abandoned Because of Faith in Christ

Cecilia was abandoned by her husband after she recommitted her life to Christ. And by the time a VOM worker in Uganda met her, she and her seven children were slowly starving. After a year of support from VOM, however, Cecilia and the children are doing well. Her 17-year-old son is learning metal fabrication at a vocational school, and her younger children are also back in school, catching up on years of material after missing school for lack of finances. The VOM worker reported that all eight family members look healthier now that they are receiving adequate nutrition. “Life is much better these days, as there is very little to struggle with,” Cecilia said. “Sleep is much longer and more peaceful than it used to be.” She credits her current state of joy to the Lord, who never abandoned her. Though her life has been difficult, Cecilia believes that without the Lord it would have been much harder. Praise God for what He has done in Cecilia’s life, and pray that her testimony will point others to Christ.
