Father God, every day we encounter people who claim to be Christians because of other agendas, even money. We know You judge the motives of the heart. Please help Your people discern. True believers have the Holy Spirit that testifies to their faith in Jesus. We praise You for new children in Christ and healing for those harmed in Nigeria.

Oh Lord, I pray that these men who turned themselves in will find Jesus Christ, and will become Your children. Help them to truly repent to all of the families they have hurt. And may those family members truly forgive them. I pray that Boko Haram will die out due to lack of interest. Help the current members of Boko Haram to see the truth in You.

Dear Lord, I can't imagine the pain, regret, and guilt these former Boko Haram fighters are suffering but You do Lord Jesus because You carried it on the cross. You paid the price for it all. May they help the authorities to stop those who brought them into bondage, and may their conversions bring others to You. Make them powerful witnesses. Thank You for the fact that these individuals have turned from their violent ways. I pray that there may be reconciliation between them and their victims, and that the latter may be able to forgive.
