Lord God, I do pray that this man would be released and that You would soften the hearts of his captors to not only treat him justly, but also to receive the gospel. Please strengthen him and his family; may they rely on You as their Protector and Defender and believe that You are the God who can be trusted even in the midst of great pain.

Grant his wife courage as she cares for the six children by herself. You know where he is, and are able to spare his life.
